Privacy Policy

Last updated: 13 October 2026

JB46 Investment Partners (“JB46”, “we”, “us”) operates the search fund acquired companies directory at logbook.jb46.com. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what rights you have.

Who is responsible

JB46 Investment Partners is the data controller for the data described below. You can reach us at hello@jb46.com.

What we collect

  • Access requests. Your name, email address, the company or firm you give, the role you select (searcher, investor or operator) and, where relevant, confirmation that you represent a particular firm.
  • Your submissions. Companies, deals, investor details, logos and corrections you submit through the site, together with the email address used to submit them.
  • Usage data. Logins, the pages and features you use, and the time spent on the site, recorded against your session so we can understand how the directory is used and protect it from misuse.
  • Sign-in information. A session credential is stored in your browser so you do not have to re-enter your access code every visit.

We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not sell your personal data.

Why we use it

  • To decide whether to grant access and to send you your access code.
  • To let firms manage the profile and deals that belong to them, and to check that requests genuinely come from the firm concerned.
  • To keep the directory accurate, including merging duplicates and publishing approved corrections.
  • To understand how the directory is used and to improve it.
  • To secure the site and the administrative area against unauthorised access.

Where we ask you to tick a consent box, that consent is the legal basis for the data collection it covers. For keeping the directory running we rely on our legitimate interest in operating and improving a business information service.

Who sees it

Only JB46 staff and people we authorise. Our hosting and email providers process data on our behalf in order to run the site and deliver access codes and notifications. Company and deal information you submit is published in the directory; your email address is not published there.

How long we keep it

Access codes are valid for 90 days. Access requests, approved submissions and usage records are kept while the directory is operated and for as long as needed for the purposes above, then deleted. If you ask us to delete your data, we remove it from our records unless we are required by law to keep it.

Your rights

You can ask to access the data we hold about you, have it corrected, have it deleted, restrict or object to its use, or receive a copy of it in a portable format. Consent given at a consent box can be withdrawn at any time, without affecting what we did before. Write to hello@jb46.com and we will handle your request.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle a request, you can complain to your local data protection authority. In Spain this is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (www.aepd.es).

Security

The directory is behind an access gate, the administrative area is protected by separate credentials, and data is stored with a managed provider using encrypted connections. No method of transmission is completely secure, so we do not promise absolute security, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the directory changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised; continued use of the site after an update means the updated policy applies.
